More than 1 billion people globally lack access to safe drinking water. Parabosol is a portable solar powered water treatment system for use in remote areas. The system purifies water by using a parabolic mirror that boils water at a temperature up to 400 Celsius degrees. Additional filtration is done by a sand filter and by a carbon filter. First, sand filter catches the sand particles and then the carbon filter is used to remove odor dissolved gases from water. Between the two filtrations, the sand filtered water collected in water container within a focused parabolic mirror where purification is made. Steam coming from the tank behind the parabolic mirror, condensates in the bronze spine placed above the carbon filter. The system consists of one contaminated water container, one purification container, and two clean water containers. Parabosol can clean up to 170 liters of water in a single use. The project is developed to equalize the access to drinking water, which is a basic human right.

Dünya üzerinde 1 milyardan fazla insan içilebilir temiz su yokluğu çekmektedir. Parabosol güneş enerjisi ile çalışan,taşınabilir bir su arıtma sistemi olup, ücra yerlerde kullanılmak üzere geliştirilmiştir. Sistem parabolik aynalar ile 400 ̊Cye kadar çıkan sıcaklık yardımıyla suyu kaynatır ve arıtılmasını sağlar. Kum ve karbon filtresi yardımıyle ek filtreleme sağlanır.Kum filtresi suyun içerisindeki kumları ayrıştırırken, karbon filtresi suyun içerisinde çözünmüş halde bulunan koku moleküllerini filtreler.İki filtreleme arasında, kum filtresinden geçen su depolanır ve parabolik ayna yardımıyla ısıtılır ve arıtma gerçekleştirilir.Parabolik aynanın arkasından çıkan buhar karbon filtrenin üzerinde yer alan bronz iskelet içerisinde yoğunlaşır. Sistem bir adet kirli su tankı, bir adet arıtma tankı ve 2 temiz su tankından oluşur. Parabosol, bir kerede 170 Litre suyu arıtabilir. Proje,temel, insani bir ihtiyaç olan temiz su içme ihtiyacını tüm dünyada eşitlemek amacıyla geliştirilmiştir.
